As I answered his questions, his hand hovered over the tabletop, indecisively moving between two of the ceramic wands before he plucked one last one out and said "Okay, let's start".

I felt like I was reading a page in a novel when I first started this post! I was so intrigued to read more! Sounds like a truly memorable shopping event (not just a trip), I think I would be enticed to buy the whole lot. Strangely enough, I have never tried out any Chanel perfumes, which one would you recommend as a lighter fresh scent?

Oh my god I would LOVE this shopping experience!! I have a weakness for perfume. And the lovely Andy let me put all of my perfumes on him the other night (on different parts of him, obviously), and sat patiently as I explained to him the purpose/use of each one.

I'm so pleased I've discovered your blog. The photos are absolutely stunning. I've never been to NYC but I have a couple of close friends who live there. Interestingly enough, hubs and I were thinking of doing the short hop to Melbourne but decided on UK in the end. Melbourne is a wonderful city but I expect you must be having an amazing time in NYC.
I wish there's someone similar here who can talk me through the many choices available at the perfume counter. I'm usually left to my devices and often ended up feeling dizzy after trying way too many different scents.

You have hit a chord with my on this post I have to say! I l.o.v.e.d it but felt a twinge of jealously as I would adore such a shopping experience especially for perfume! My achillis is perfume. I own too many but still have never identified with 'my scent'. AND have never owned Chanel (gasp shock horror)- but onlyyy because I don't connect to the scent on me (it's different on every girl) :) I have GOT to go and find somewhere or someone like this in Perth - it sounds like he loves what he does and is fantastic at what he does which is the best part of all of it xx
