39 Just Chillin'

Ever since I came back from Australia two months ago, lovely husband C. and I have made an effort to travel somewhere new every few weeks - we've been to Poughkeepsie, Philly, Boston and now Long Branch on the Jersey Shore. We want to make sure we get to experience as many things we can for as long as we're here. Truly, the temptation is to stay in NYC every weekend because there's always so much new and fun stuff happening that it never gets boring, so it's hard to leave. This weekend though, we headed to the Jersey Shore and spent time walking along the beach, taking in the sunshine and sitting on the boardwalk just talking.

These weekends are good for the soul - it's always fun disconnecting from the outside world, exploring and experiencing something new together (like a root beer float!).

In between our many laughs with and at each other, we talked a lot about how lucky we were to live in New York* and feel like we have our dreams at our fingertips and the rest of our lives ahead of us, to adventure together.

I hope you had a lovely weekend, filled with sunshine and fun times!

From New York, with love xox

* Only for now, Mum!

I believe so and there must be lots of interesting things and places to visit in the USA. You are so lucky to have beach quite close. Unfortunately sea is too far from the Czech rep. Hope you had a good weekend and a good start of the new week ;)

Hi darling, hope you having a great start to the week. I can imagine that one could never get bored in NYC, there is probably tons of exciting things to do every single weekend. Thank you for showing us that there is so much more to the Jersey Shore than what we see in those awful reality tv series. You've captured a magnificent side to the area, the natural beauty is really astounding.

Looks like a gorgeous little adventure! Those pancakes look so tasty, as does the root beer float. Glad you're taking the time to see all of the East Coast, let me know if you ever make it to DC!

GREAT POST:) It was great to hear your little country story, I thought you were all city girl:)
I think the best is, if you can have the best of both worlds. Im hoping for a little red swedish cottage in the future, to spend my summer in.
Sweden is beyond lovely in summertime, you should come visit:)

Your *only for now Mum disclosure made me laugh!! I have to constantly reassure my mum at the moment that Morgs and I are in actual fact not going to run off to Europe and stay there forever when we go on our trip. You truly do have your dreams at your fingertips but its beautiful and refreshing that you even recognise that. Its an exciting chapter in yours and lovely husband C's life but you're living up to that which is why I keep coming back day after day to read of your adventures.

Hello lovely! It's nice to be back home and settled in a little bit. But now I'm nursing a cold and feeling terrible. Coming by and having a look at what you've been up to has been great! I love how you guys made it a point to get out for the weekends and discover me places. They'll make for great memories and they obviously make for great pictures! <3

What I would do for a root beer float?! I love these pictures... It looks like such a lovely weekend. I'm trying to get out of the city more too, definitely some beach trips this Summer. But, this will be my first Summer in NYC, and I'm most excited about the summer concerts in central park - have you been?

Have a great week!!

I've learned more about amazing places to visit in the US ever since I started reading your blog. I guess we'll just have to live vicariously through each other. I cover the European continent while the US is your home ground.

Have you two never have a root beer float? That's wonderful that you got to experience one!

It really is lovely to "unplug" especially if it means the beach is involved.

PS- Is that your dog? I got squish it as a side effect of utter cuteness.

Looks like a gorgeous weekend.
It's sometimes exhausting, but you will be so glad you explored so much if you come back to Astralia (here's hoping for your mum's sake!)
Your new posts don't update in my side bar for some reason, so I don't see when you have posted something new! x
