Our rooftop is one of my favourite places in the summer. We’ve spent so many evenings up there over the last couple of months with our friends and next door neighbours, enjoying the balmy night air, great conversation and easy food. Last Wednesday especially was truly memorable - the sky exploded in colour in front of us as America celebrated its Independence Day.
It was truly one of those pinch-yourself moments as we sat and watched what seemed to be our own personal skyshow from our very own New York City rooftop.
From New York, with love xox

I was just wondering how your July 4th was in the city (as you'll see in your inbox too)! The NYC show is my favorite to watch on TV. I can see it would seem surreal to seem in person, especially from the coziness of your rooftop! Um, heaven, right??

You are such a talented photographer, if only I had a fraction of your talent. It looks like you had such a memorable day. Quite jealous of your little rooftop hangout too.

Pinch yourself moments alright!!! This looks straight out of a movie book (or Pinterest haha I could pin this whole post). I agree with Jenee though, your photography talents are to be marvelled at, you have a knack for seeing things at or with a different angle and always capture moments so perfectly, like this July 4th experience. Just so you know....Fireworks are only one of my FAVOURITEEEE things in the world (along with red wine, popcorn, and chocolate - although not in the order) so I am exceptionally in awe of the fireworks you got atop your very own rooftop. Spectacular! Must be an amazing experience to be in New York on the 4th of July x
Ah wow, you have a stunning view that most of us could only dream of! Love the explosion of colours and fireworks, it must have been an amazing and highly spirited 4th of July.
I love your pictures! Especially the ones of the fireworks. Oh how I dream of having a rooftop like yours!!! x

I am a roof top lover too!
Great fireworks.
Have a lovely week ;)
AH!! I am so envious - what gorgeous pictures! I was in Boston for the 4th, but i heard the fireworks in NYC were amazing. Do you have dinner up there like every night? Looks so dreamy!

Oh my gosh. I'm totally jealous! That is absolutely amazing. I would be spending every minute up there!
It truly must have been a night to remember and you´re really lucky to have such rooftop space just for yourselves. We just have a small balcony with the view of fields and woods and can´t see anything like fireworks from there but I love it anyway. :) Hope your week is flying by.

What a beautiful spot to enjoy all the festivities from. And you have such gorgeous pictures to remember the evening. I could really do with some rooftop dining and lounging! xoxox
How amazing! I've always envied New Yorkers and their rooftop hangouts, and now I envy them even more. :) What a beautiful experience and one that you'll remember forever!
You really did have one of the best seats in the house for the fireworks! Way to make some beautiful memories. We used to be able to view them from our terrace when they were on the East River. I think it'd be nice if they alternated between East and West every year. Hope you're having a lovely week :)
