I think this is the longest I've been away from here since I started blogging. I've been busy discovering mid-week life in NYC… dinners in tiny, out of the way restaurants, evening manis and pedis with girlfriends, burning every scented candle I own all at once, filling our (admittedly small but charming) apartment with flowers and eating cupcakes whenever, just because I can. It's been amazing and I'm starting to feel like a fully fledged New Yorker. I can now walk out of the subway and and turn the right way without checking my phone, navigate a busy (and sometimes maddening) crowd with a smile on my face and juggle my phone, coffee and lip gloss in one hand.
This weekend though, we're taking it easy, celebrating the end of the summer with four wonderful days in Montauk. We've alternated lazing on the beach with lazing on our balcony, I've finished reading Gone, Girl (absolutely gripping) - and I've been slowly catching up on what I've missed on your blogs these last few weeks (when the internet connection behaves). It's been a perfect way to finish off a fun summer.
From Montauk, with love xox

Sounds fabulous! You're definitely becoming a New Yorker!
It's so funny to read about fall settling in up in our hemisphere, yet it's heading into summer down here! Talk about disorientation. Enjoy your last summer weekend! x
I was thinking of you the other day and wondering where/how you were. So much in this post that I love! The photo, your feelings of NY comfort, mid-week dates and now a cruisy four days to celebrate the end of summer. Have a wonderful few days!
It sounds divine, we've missed your lovely posts but glad to hear you are enjoying New York to the fullest! xo K
I´m so sorry Summer is almost over. You look so lovely in your bikini and I almost can feel the warm breeze on my cheeks as I´m looking at the picture. Hope you enjoyed your trip to Montauk. I look forward to reading some more posts from NYC :)

Thats such a lovely balcony view. happy you're taking advantage of the last few days of summer!
What a great feeling! I love when I feel “nyc-esque” ... I just moved this past weekend DOWNTOWN (EEK!), so now i feel like i have to start all over again. The downtown streets are so confusing compared to uptown ... my phone battery is dying so quickly with how often i have to open google maps.

thanks for comment on my blog post, if I find something else to write on I will in Europe as cool as Amsterdam I may consider coming out of self imposed blogging retirement:)

I can relate to this. It takes a while to find our feet, build our network and get accustomed to the new culture. It truly sounds like you're having an amazing experience living in NY.
Congrats on finally going native! There really is so much to enjoy in the city during the week and beyond. Montauk sounds like a perfect setting to close out the summer. Hope you enjoyed it sweetie!
