12 Melbourne in the US...?

Being in San Francisco felt just like coming home. Clear blue skies and sunshine, smiling, friendly people, delicious coffee from the markets and walks along the Bay. It was like our Melbourne life, just on the other side of the world. The pace was a little slower, the lifestyle a little more relaxed than here in NYC…

… if we stay in the US for more than another two years, I can feel a move out West coming on. More space, more temperate weather and definitely more fabulous coffee!

From New York, with love xox

Hi Hope, how have you been? San Francisco looks beautiful, the best of both worlds, city and wonderful scenery. Missed you in the blogosphere.

Well dear, you know I'll visit you whatever coast you're living on! I love NY but definitely have a soft spot for San Fran - I could imagine all the walks I'd take my dog on when we were there. When I first visited Vancouver in 2003 and again in 2010 I felt the same way - it reminded me of Melbourne.

I loved San Fran on my one, albeit brief encounter x

I had the best time in SF so many years ago and have always wanted to revisit the city. I've never been drawn to NY but strangely, SF really appeals t me. These photos are breathtakingly beautiful!

I know exactly what you mean Hope. When I went to QLD I wondered why I was living in Canberra. Queensland was a lot similar to Fiji in terms of the weather! Wishing you a happy Easter xoxox

Ooooh you are in one of my favorite places! I am in So Cal but my boyfriend has a home near San Francisco and I adore that area. Glad you enjoyed it as well. Beautiful photos too! xx.

I'm a born and breed New Yorker (who grew up splitting time in several European cities) so New York will always be number one. I do have a weakness for SF. Mainly due to the weather. I find winter really tough. But I hate driving and only learned how to drive last year- I can't imagine relying on a car. We also travel to Europe quite a bit for work and to see friends/family. The idea of a simple trip to Paris being a long haul flight really quiets the whole idea of living in SF.
